You’ve probably seen in recent news stories that demand for Foodbank help in the UK is at an all-time high – and rising. Gillingham Foodbank is no exception with demand currently up by over 60% – that’s 243 additional food parcels provided to an additional 533 people since April this year, compared with the same period last year.
Happily, we have very generous supporters in the Blackmore Vale and so far have not seen the dire food shortages experienced by many urban foodbanks. So thank you, everyone – we couldn’t do it without you – but please, please keep your donations coming!
